Paid traffic works only if the offer and landing page already convert some visitors. Ads then bring more of them faster; they will not fix a weak offer.
Before you spend
Check that your page is clear, loads quickly and that checkout or signup works. Decide how much you can afford to lose on testing and write it down. That limit is your stop-loss.
Structure clean tests
Change one thing at a time: audience, message or image. Run each version long enough to see a pattern. Tiny samples mislead, so avoid big decisions from a handful of clicks.
Know the numbers
- Cost per click: what each visit costs
- Conversion rate: share of visitors who sign up or buy
- Cost per customer: total ad spend divided by customers gained
Compare cost per customer with what a customer is worth to you after your costs.
Decide
Stop a test that misses your target after a fair run. Adjust one variable and try again. Scale slowly, with modest budget increases, so you can see whether results hold.
Follow platform rules
Ad platforms have policies about claims and targeting. Read them before you launch.
