A digital product packages something you know so a customer can use it without you. Done well, it solves one specific problem.

Pick a product that fits an existing need

Look at the questions your audience or clients ask repeatedly. A checklist, spreadsheet, template pack or short guide that answers one of them is easier to finish and easier to explain than a large course.

Build version one

1. Write a one-sentence promise: who it is for and what they will be able to do. 2. Outline only what supports that promise. 3. Produce it in a plain, usable format and test it with two or three people.

Sell and deliver simply

Use a checkout tool that handles payment and automatic delivery. State what is included, the file format, and your refund policy before purchase. Check the rules on sales tax for digital goods where you sell.

Listen and improve

Ask early buyers what was missing. Fix errors, add the most-requested parts, and consider bundling related products later. Keep a version history so buyers receive updates.
